I will be highlighting an author and book every week on this site called Take This Story. Most of the time it will be an autobiography or biography.
Please know that there will be times you may wonder why I recommended a certain book. All of life surrounds us with people and things we don't agree with, but that doesn't stop us from learning. Recommending doesn't always mean endorsing a lifestyle or a belief system. Hope you enjoy, so stay tuned.
This week I want to introduce you to Goldie Hawn, as if you didn't already know who this gal is. We remember her well from Laugh In. She was quite an airhead. In real life? NOT.
She is a brilliant woman. I saw her in person less than a year ago. She is still quite the looker. Beautiful. Unique. She is naturally gifted with humor. Yet, she is able to blend it with the serious side of life. Now that makes for a great speaker. I could have listened to her for hours.
The title of her autobiography is Goldie a lotus grows in the mud . A thought provoking title, wouldn't you say? Remember, we love catchy titles. There are great photo shots sprinkled throughout her story. And her sense of humor dances from beginning to end. Don't let that fool you. Goldie doesn't hold back. She shares her soul with the reader. I think you will come away refreshed and with a different view of this timeless lady.
