What I want to highlight here is the biography written about Barbie's "mom", Ruth Handler. The title is Barbie and Ruth The Story of the World’s Most Famous Doll and the Woman Who Created Her by author, Robin Gerber, Published by Collins Business, an imprint of Harper Collins Publishers, 2009.
I have not read all of Ms Gerber's book, but am on my way! Let me know what you think!!!!

The 50 year old Barbie photo was designed by a Brazilian artist. He was creating what he thought she might look like had she aged naturally, according to AARP (3/2009)
