1000 Words

Why write your story when you have beautiful photos? After all, a picture, as they say, says a 1000 words. Well, for one thing that many words would be overkill. And what if you had four, five, or ten pictures. Woo-hoo, now that's a lot of words.

All joking aside, photos add a really nice touch to a story, and I highly encourage you to add them when they are available to you.

This particular picture was taken a few months ago by a professional photographer and friend, Andrea. Actually, this is a four generation of my sweet little mama of 86 years, my lovely daughter, April, her precious daughter, and yours truly. Memories were made that day for sure.

When I look at this pic, I think of the many memories we have shared together over the years. And now Ella, our fourth generation is adding new and exciting events every day. She's such a delight that I do believe her photos go way over 1000 words!

So for your next story, see if you can find pics to complement your memories. If you don't have personal photos, find pics that accommodate a theme in the story or perhaps a time era. Just to name a few sources, you can find photos on the Internet, or in the newspaper, or a magazine.
